Mercedes Moné was interviewed for the Kick Rocks wrestling podcast, where she discussed such topics as leaving WWE, and waht she’s been up to during recovering from injury.
On the topic of walking out of WWE back in May 2022, Moné talked about standing up for herself and the way she handled the situation, before making a statement that she would be back in the company one day:
“I know I’m going to be back there [WWE] one day, ok, so it’s not over. Like I said, I have a lot of unfinished business in wrestling in a lot of places.”
The former WWE Women’s Champion (both in singles and tag team competition) expressed her gratitude for the career WWE gave the former Sasha Banks, as well as the fans and life they provided.
The interview comes just as the eyes of many are fixated upon AEW Big Business, a special edition of Dynamite taking place 3/14 from Boston and expected to signal the arrival of the former IWGP Women’s Champion in All Elite Wrestling.
Moné hinted at such during the Kick Rocks interview, stating she had been “making some big business moves” and thinks she may have finally found a new home in pro wrestling.
