Bobby Lashley pulled from King of the Ring tournament due to injury

Nick Aldis took to social media with an update on the King of the Ring tournament, stating that Bobby Lashley is not medically cleared to compete on the 5/10 edition of WWE SmackDown.

Citing an injury sustained during training, the SmackDown General Manager said that he has selected Angelo Dawkins to take his place in the opening round match, facing Tama Tonga.

This comes after Drew McIntyre was pulled from the tournament following his own medical disqualification due to an elbow injury.

The tournament culminates in the finals as part of WWE King & Queen of the Ring, emanating from Saudi Arabia on Saturday, May 25.
