Following an angle on the 5/14 edition of WWE NXT that saw Ivar laid out backstage by Gallus, WWE announced that the former tag champion would be out of action indefinitely.
A post from Andrews Sports Medicine on social media raised speculation on Ivar’s status, with reports being made that Ivar was facing surgery.
Ivar himself has taken to social media to clarify his situation, noting that surgery was not required as of this time:
He would go on to thank fans for their support over the past several months, and assuring them that he is doing everything he can to get back in the ring as soon as possible.
A match meant to include Ivar has already been taped for next week’s NXT, and the WWE Speed match between Ivar and Tyler Bate will now see the former WWE United Kingdom Champion face Apollo Crews.
