With the Forbidden Door pay-per-view on the horizon, Mercedes Moné has taken time out to speak to the media about her time in AEW so far and her upcoming match against CMLL star Stephanie Vaquer.
The TBS Champion spoke to Brandon Tierney and Sal Licata of WFAN Radio in New York, where she addressed the relative freedom to tackle outside projects since joining the company.
That’s definitely a big reason why I came to AEW. Even doing ‘The Mandalorian’ was pulling teeth with the WWE to even try to get time off to film that show. So, Tony [Khan] said whatever I need, if I need that private jet to go from — you know, filming in LA to coming for shows, then it’s available for me.

Moné also stopped by FOX 5 New York to talk about her match at Forbidden Door, which sees the TBS Championship and NJPW Strong Women’s Championship up for grabs in a Title For Title match.
