Former AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker, DMD is returning to AEW at Dynamite 5, which will take place in Baker’s hometown of Pittsburgh at the Pederson Events Center.
A vignette aired during Saturday’s episode of Collision, promoting Dynamite 5, showing 10|2|24, which then changed to D|M|D. Tony Schiavone then confirmed Baker would be appearing on Dynamite 5. Later during Collision, Serena Deeb appeared in a backstage segment, challenging Baker to a match at the fifth-year episode celebration.
Baker’s last match took place at the All In: London PPV back on August 25, when she was unsuccessful in capturing the TBS Championship from Mercedes Mone. Following the All Out PPV, which was held September 7, Tony Khan was asked about Baker’s status. He said to stay tuned.
Baker was out of action for 10 months after suffering a mini stroke. She made her return at the Forbidden Door PPV this past June. Soon after her return, AEW briefly suspended and fined her following an argument that took place backstage with MJF.
