Report: Former TNA President departs amidst backstage changes

PWInsider has reported that a number of changes have occurred behind the scenes in TNA Wrestling, including three departures and some notable additions and replacements.

Anthony Cicione, who served as TNA President following the departure of Scott D’Amore from the company, has exited that position and will continue to work within the promotion’s parent company, Anthem Entertainment Group.

George Veras has been brought on to oversee production and other facets of TNA, which follows a lengthy broadcast career that spans across ABC Sports, NBC, CBS, and more.

Per PWInsider, Veras is believed to be putting together his own team, which has led to the departure of Josh Mathews and Christy Hemme from TNA.

Mathews worked for the company as a producer, whereas Hemme handled TNA’s social media.

Mark Brown is expected to join TNA as its new Director, having previously done work with ROH during the Sinclair era and with New Japan Pro Wrestling events in the United States.

Rounding out the changes as of this writing, per PWInsider, are John E. Bravo and Ingrid Isley joining the Talent Relations arm of the company, with both having been involved in backstage aspects in the past and coming into a department headed by Gail Kim.
