“Speedball” Mike Bailey is coming to AEW; Details on his contract

During Saturday night’s episode of AEW Collision, a vignette aired promoting the soon arrival of “Speedball” Mike Bailey to AEW.

It had been previously reported last November that the former TNA X-Division Champion would be making his way to AEW, after his TNA contract was set to end.

Fightful Select has provided some further details about Bailey’s AEW contract and his status with the company.

Bailey signed a multi-year contract with AEW. It was said that even though Bailey’s deal with TNA Wrestling was active through December 31, 2024, he finished up with the company in October, when he dropped the X-Division Championship to Moose at the television taping following Bound For Glory. Furthermore, while he was officially written off TNA TV, he was said to have worked with an agent, as both AEW and WWE showed interest in him.

Fightful concluded by noting that sources said that Bailey’s AEW debut has been delayed, due to issues with his visa, which is currently in the process of getting approved.
