The final match of WWE Elimination Chamber saw six men enter the namesake match to determine the #1 Contender for the Undisputed WWE Championship.
The match ultimately saw John Cena win, last eliminating CM Punk after an assist from Seth Rollins as noted by Mike Tedesco in his live coverage of the event:
It’s down to John Cena and CM Punk. We’re turning back the clock with this match-up. Cena wants a handshake. Punk obliges and immediately pulls him into a GTS! 1… 2… Cena kicks out! Punk pulls Cena up, and Cena catches him with an AA! 1… 2… Punk kicks out. Cena grabs Punk’s leg for an STF, but Punk grabs the ropes and kicks him away. Rollins then hits Punk with a Stomp on the chamber floor! Cena sees the opportunity and locks Punk in the STF! The referee checks on Punk, but he is unconscious!
With the victory, the 16-time World Champion has earned his opportunity to secure the coveted 17th reign when he faces Cody Rhodes at WrestleMania 41, which takes place Saturday, April 19 and Sunday, April 20 from Allegiant Stadium in Paradise (Las Vegas), Nevada.
