As of Monday, Rey Fenix is no longer appears on the AEW roster page.
Per a new report from Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer, the belief is Rey has been released from the rest of his contract and that he is ‘expected to be in WWE ASAP’ joining his brother Penta.
The report also notes that WWE has already been mapping out creative plans for Fenix’s arrival despite, the fact he was still under contract with AEW.
It has believed AEW extended Fenix’s contract by adding injury time, which was have him under contract through sometime up until the middle of this year, thus preventing him from signing with WWE.
PWInisder also has confirmed Meltzer’s report, that Fenix is a free-agent.
