More backstage news on Charlotte Flair/Tiffany Stratton

Fightful Select has published a new report with more backstage details surrounding the Charlotte Flair/Tiffany Stratton promo from last Friday’s WWE SmackDown.

According to the report, the consensus among most of those backstage, was that Flair went off script first with the “nepo queen” line. The feeling among a number of people was when Flair mocked Stratton’s voice, that is when Stratton had to fight back and made it personal with her comments about Flair’s three failed marriages, which was said to have been not be well advised. It was also said Flair making the line about about Stratton’s real-life boyfriend Ludwig Kaiser being in her DM’s and Stratton line about Flair’s divorces was not previously cleared.

In addition, Flair addressing the boos from the live crowd in the arena was said to have been ad-libbed and didn’t get any heat in the back from anyone. Fightful added that Flair stopping and acknowledging the heat from the fans was considered to be “run of the mill.”

Fightful further notes there was heat on both women and that the segment was considered a “wreck.” As previously noted, there is still no word that there were issues between Flair and Stratton backstage after the segment. The report concludes by indicating that the general reaction backstage was that a level of confusion hit when Flair mocked Stratton’s voice and things got personal.

As previously reported, WWE’s digital producers were told to edit the references to Flair’s divorces the Kaiser DM comment and Flair mocking Stratton’s voice from all the videos on the company’s social media platforms.

As of this report, the USA Network still has the complete un-edited video on their YouTube Channel. The personal references begin at around the 7:11 mark of the video, which can be seen below – in case you missed it.
