In speaking with Tom Kludt of Vanity Fair, WWE Superstar Roman Reigns revealed that after WrestleMania 42 next year, he will have two years left on his current contract. Reigns said that after that contract expires, he probably has another year or two and then it will be time to find a less physical form of entertainment. Reigns will turn 40 on May 25.
“After I finish the contract that I’m in, we probably got another year or two max. “Then it’s time to take on a less physical form of entertainment.”
Reigns had a small role in the 2019 Fast & Furious spin-off ‘Hobbs & Shaw’, that starred Dwayne Johnson and Jason Statham.
Now, years later, Reigns finds himself in another small role, this time opposite Eddie Murphy. Regins will appear in a scene with Murphy in the the upcoming heist comedy ‘The Pickup.’ The film’s directory Tim Story notes that he thinks Reigns has a bright future in Hollywood. “He probably shows as much charisma that I’ve ever seen from a celebrity or nonactor…I think his future in front of the camera will be ridiculous.”
Reigns also commented on the lawsuit by former WWE employee Janel Grant, against Vince McMahon and also noted McMahon reached out to him last year to wish him happy birthday.
“She’s got to live with all these situations that happened and hopefully she’s in a place where she feels comfortable and she’s secure in her own place…it’s embarrassing. That’s stuff you don’t want to hear about. You don’t want your family to hear about.” Reigns then noted that last year, McMahon reached out to him last year to wish him a happy birthday. The former CEO and Chairman of WWE no longer has any involvement in the company, having sold all of his remaining stock he had in TKO Holdings in the spring of 2024.
Reigns is set to compete in a Triple Threat Match against rivals CM Punk and Seth Rollins at WrestleMania Night One, this Saturday at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise (Las Vegas, Nevada).
Though the article with Vanity Fair was published on April 17, 2025, the interview took place just before this year’s Royal Rumble, as Reigns had ‘secretly revealed’ to Vanity Fair which is published in their interview, that he was not going to win the men’s Rumble Match.
