According to a new report from PWInsider, TNA Wrestling officials informed talent on Friday that the promotion will not tolerate excessive blood and blading going forward.
The report notes that TNA officials made the decision to protect the health of the talents and keep current and potential advertisers and partners in mind.
It was noted, though, that blood will be allowed in the case of hard-way blood, a bloody nose, or mouth. It was said that it is understandable that sometimes blood will happen as a result of contact in the ring. However, talent were informed that purposeful, heavy bloodletting is a thing of the past in TNA Wrestling.
At least for now, the final match that will see excessive blood was the Dog Collar match taped on Thursday, May 1, at the Bren Events Center in Irvine, California, with TNA International Champion Steve Maclin battling Eric Young.
