AEW taped this Saturday’s Beach Break themed episode Collision on Wednesday night at the NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois, after Dynamite went off the air.

The Steve “Mongo” McMichael tribute was hosted by Tony Schiavone. Mongo’s wife Misty was brought out. She said Mongo was the most special man ever in her life and he made his imprint in football and pro wrestling. They then introduced Dean Malenko. Schiavone went through Mongo’s football and pro wrestling accolades. Schiavone also noted May is ALS awareness month. Schiavone then introduced WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair. He hugged everyone. Flair said Chicago is one of the greatest wrestling cities in the world. He lost the NWA World Title to Ricky Steamboat here and the fans have never stopped being as loud as they were that night. He then said that tonight, AEW is giving them a chance to have a moment to celebrate Steve McMichael. Flair said that at 76, he has a world of friends and thanked everyone for honoring McMichael. Flair then said said to be the man, you have to beat the man and Mongo was more man than anyone Flair has ever known, as he fought ALS for six years, his wife Misty never left Mongo’s side and that she learned how to be a nurse. The crowd then chanted for Mongo. Flair thanked AEW and Tony Khan for letting him honor McMichael.
-ROH World Champion Bandido, Tomohiro Ishii and Brody King defeated Rocky, Romero Lance Archer and Trent Beretta. After the match, Romero, Archer and Beretta attacked Bandido, Ishii and King. The Outrunners made the save.
-“Speedball” Mike Bailey pinned Blake Christian. He then challenged Kazuchika Okada to come out and face him.
-Big Bill and Bryan Keith won the Chicago Street Fight over The Gates of Agony. There were a ton of tables, weapons in what was a really entertaining brawl
-ROH Tag Team Champions Dustin Rhodes and Sammy Guevara defeated Cru to earn a shot at the AEW World Tag Team Titles (The Hurt Syndicate) at Double or Nothing
-Powerhouse Hobbs defeated Wheeler Yuta. After the match, Marina Shafir attacked Hobbs. Willow Nightingale made the save.
