According to a report from Deadline, newly signed NXT Superstar Mariah May has signed with the Paradigm Talent Agency for representation in all areas. Under the deal, this will see the former AEW Women’s World Champion expand in both scripted and unscripted film and TV, including a focus on her branding.
On signing May to a deal, Paradigm told Deadline, “She brings a rare combination of in-ring credibility, screen presence, and crossover appeal. With growing influence across fashion, digital platforms, and television, she is uniquely positioned for expansion into scripted and unscripted entertainment.”
May, who was named the New York Post’s 2024 Female Breakout Professional Wrestler of the Year, selected as one of ESPN’s Top 5 Under 30 in Pro Wrestling, made her surprise debut on this past Tuesday’s episode of NXT.
After May had been noticeably absent from AEW programming after dropping the Women’s World Championship to “Timeless” Toni Storm at Grand Slam Australia back on February 15, it had been speculated she was going to be WWE-bound. Back on May 30, May had been removed from the AEW roster page, which solidified she was released from AEW contract and free to sign with any promotion, as AEW is not like WWE when it comes to no-compete clauses, allowing released talent to sign with any promotion upon departure.
Tiffany Stratton, Liv Morgan, Jade Cargill, Alexa Bliss from the WWE women’s roster who have also signed with Paradigm for representation.
