During the opening segment of Monday’s WWE Raw, CM Punk interrupted John Cena and eventually challenged him for the Undisputed WWE Championship. Punk told Cena that he wanted the match later in the night. Cena accepted the challenge and then told Punk it was not going to be on Raw, but that Punk would have to follow him to Saudi Arabia, telling Punk he would put the title on the line at Night of Champions.
Later, following the segment, it was announced by Michael Cole that Raw General Manager Adam Pearce made the match official.

Night of Champions will take place on Saturday, June 28 from the Kingdom Arena in Riydh, Saudi Arabia. The event will air live on Peacock in the US and Netflix for international fans, with a start time of 1:00 pm ET/10:00 am PT.
