During his most recent episode of his Behind The Turnbuckle, former WWE talent Jonathan Coachman claimed that former AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker, DMD was gone from the company and looks to be WWE-bound.
The show’s co-host had initially suggested it was Baker when he said, “there’s a name, a female name, out there that is this close to signing with WWE.” Coach then added Baker was “gone from AEW” and was “buried because she pushed back” on creative ideas.
Fighftul Select has published a new report indicating that Baker has not left AEW and is still under contract, as she signed a five-year deal towards the end of 2021. A source noted to Fightful that Baker is always welcome backstage at WWE events and there has been no talk about Baker signing with WWE. It was added that there is no word on if there is any creative plans for Baker regarding her return to AEW programming.
Baker’s last AEW match was a win against Penelope Ford back on the November 13, 2024 episode of AEW Dynamite. After the match, she was confronted by Serena Deeb, and told Deeb repeatedly that “nobody cares”.
