As first reported by Fightful Select and then confirmed by F4WOnline, AEW star Adam Cole suffered a concussion during the trios match on this past Thursday’s Collision.
F4WOnline adds the concussion happened when Cole took a lariat from Kyle Fletcher during the match. Fightful Select noted that several backstage at Globe Life Field were somber and that is was very emotional. Cole vacated the TNT Title during Saturday’s All In Texas PPV, as he had originally been scheduled to defend it against Kyle Fletcher. However, Cole did was not feeling well and thus not medically cleared.
Cole suffered a concussion at the June 2022 Forbidden Door PPV that kept him out of action from June of that year through March 2023.
Tony Khan announced on social media during the All In Texas Zero Hour. that a four-way match with Dustin Rhodes, Sammy Guevara, Daniel Garcia and Kyle Fletcher would take place to crown a new champion. In the end Dustin pinned Garcia to win the vacated title.
At the time of both reports, there is no timeline of when Cole will return.
