WWE is advertising Country music star Jelly Roll for two more WWE appearances, before he makes his in-ring debut at SummerSlam. He is scheduled for the July 25 SmackDown taking place in Cleveland, Ohio at the Rocket Arena and then for the SmackDown SummerSlam go-home show at the Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey.
Jelly Roll was part of an angle on the July 11 episode of SmackDown, where he saved Randy Orton from Logan Paul. He then punched Paul on Saturday Night’s Main Event, which took place the next night and was hit with a Claymore from Drew McIntyre.
On Wednesday night, while guest hosting Jimmy Kimmel Live on ABC, during his interview with Randy Orton, Jelly Roll and Orton were interrupted by Drew McIntyre. After both men had a heated exchange, they brawl and left the scene. Just as Jelly Roll said it was time to cut to a commercial break, Logan Paul interrupted the segment and said there would be no break. Paul trash talked Jelly Roll, getting in his face and then slapping him. This led Jelly Roll to pick up Paul an chokeslam him on a table.
Jelly Roll and Orton will team up to take on Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul SummerSlam, which takes place on August 2 and 3 at Met-Life Stadium in East Rutherford, New Jersey.
