TNA confirms AJ Styles appearance for Sunday’s Slammiversary

TNA Wrestling has confirmed reports that AJ Styles is expected to make an appearance in some capacity at this Sunday’s TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view.

A vignette aired during Thursday night’s episode on AXS TV.

Speculation began with Styles and TNA, after TNA President Carlos Silva, posted to X this past Tuesday that Slammiversary would be “TNA’s greatest achievement” before teasing it was going to be “PHENOMENAL.”

Styles, is a former TNA World Champion, Former TNA X-Division Champion and Former TNA World Tag Team Champion. He has been using the nickname “Phenomenal One” for roughly two decades. He left TNA in 2014 and landed in NJPW as the leader of the Bullet Club and made some appearances in ROH. He eventually signed with WWE, making his debut at the 2016 Royal Rumble.

PWInsider has confirmed that this Sunday’s TNA Slammiversary pay-per-view is sold-out.

Slammiversary will be the biggest attendance of any TNA show in more than 10 years, and is projected to be the largest crowd at any TNA Wrestling live event in the United States in the company’s history.

According to Wrestletix, the UBS Arena in Belmont Park on Long Island New York is set up for 5,212 fans.
