As first reported by PWInsider, then confirmed by Fightful, WWE employees were informed via a memo on Friday that a new severance policy has been implemented, effective immediately.
It is said that going forward, the previous severance policy of employees receiving a month for every year they worked has been abolished. The company will now follow TKO’s policy of two weeks of severance pay for every year an employee worked for the company.
PWInsider notes they were told there are now additional caps on the policy based on management level. However, there are no further details at the time of the report.
This is seen as a major downturn for morale among employees, especially since so there are a number of staff that are now tasked with more responsibilities that not only includes WWE, but UFC and PBR.
TKO announced last month a first-quarter revenue of $1.269 billion for 2025, with WWE’s revenue coming in at $391.5 million.
