During his appearance on the latest Rulebreakers podcast with Saraya, former AEW/WWE star Jake Hager (Swagger in WWE), said he’s retired from pro wrestling and now runs a trucking company in Florida.
“I’m getting out of wrestling. I’m pretty much. I could say I’m retired from it. I started a trucking company, running routes through Tampa and Florida. I’m not driving, not me, I got people driving. I’m excited, something to sink my teeth into.”
Hager’s final appearance with AEW was on the February 21, 2024 episode of Rampage, where he took a loss to Roderick Strong. It had been reported back on May 28 that his contract with AEW expired and that he chose not to sign a new deal with the company.
The 43-year Hager is best known for his time in AEW as part of Chris Jericho’s inner circle faction, debuting on the inaugural episode of Dynamite, aligning himself with Jericho.
