During a recent edition of Wrestling Observer Live, Bryan Alvarez reported that WWE will satisfy their 2025 commitment of premium live events to Peacock with Survivor Series in November, following the return of Evolution in July and an additional night of SummerSlam.
With no such event currently slated for the month of December, Alvarez noted that the final Saturday Night’s Main Event of the year would feature John Cena’s final match, with Dave Meltzer adding that if that is indeed the case, December 13 would be the date to watch.
The report comes after Cena previously stated WWE was “still trying to find a place” for his final match with the company in that timeframe, and despite claims from his father in May that the match would take place at the TD Garden in Boston, WWE has yet to announce any further details.
Following his match at SummerSlam, John Cena has 12 appearances remaining of his retirement tour through the end of 2025 as of this writing.
