A new article from The Hollywood Reporter has revealed new details on the arrangement between WWE and Peacock that led to the company wrapping up its premium live event agreement early.
The report states that the deal, which wraps up the current slate of PLEs with Clash in Paris on August 31 before kicking off the ESPN partnership with Wrestlepalooza on September 20, was brokered between WWE and Peacock before being brought to ESPN.
As part of the arrangement, WWE will provide Peacock with new main-roster programming.
NXT’s premium live events will continue to air on the platform, and replays of SmackDown will continue to be available for streaming on a 30-day (a correction from the original report referring to this as a “next-day replay”).
The status of WWE’s library of content currently available on Peacock remains unknown as of this writing.
