During Saturday night’s live episode of AEW Collision, newly married AEW star MJF made a surprise appearance on the show, spoiling a future TNT Championship opportunity for Mark Briscoe. If Briscoe had defeated Konsuke Takeshita, he would have then be next in line to challenge Kyle Fletcher for the TNT Title.
The former AEW World Champion and AEW backstage interviewer Alicia Atout were married on Friday.
MJF caused outside interference when the referee wasn’t looking and gave the victory to Takeshita, who wasn’t very pleased, as he wanted to show he could defeat Briscoe on his own.
After the win, MJF told Briscoe that he wanted a match and Briscoe could name the time, place and stipulation. Briscoe said he had a lot of things going on in his head and that he would tell MJF at a later time. However, Briscoe said the match would take place at All Out on Saturday, September 20.
MJF and Briscoe have been in an ongoing feud for the past several weeks.
