Referee Nick Patrick reverses the decision, the winner by disqualification, Alex Wright.
Roy’s thoughts: A quick paced match with some dangerous spots, Sabu in particular but the ending was weird. A flat cover and the fans were confused. The referee reversing the decision is something you don’t see anymore in wrestling. Still, a pretty fun tv match.
-Commercial Break-
Back from commercial and “Mene” Gene Okerlund is in the ring. He introduces 11 time former Heavyweight Champion, Ric Flair to the ring! Out comes Flair and Okerlund says he saw him in South Beach yesterday with a bunch of women and now at Fall Brawl, it’s with Arn Anderson.
Flair tells him the only thing missing in South Beach last night was that AA, his running mate, his main man and best friend, was not at his side. He is told that Arn was back in his hotel room calling his wife and little boy instead of running wild with him. They used to be like Joe Montana and Lawrence Taylor, they ruled the world. There was no path in life that Arn couldn’t walk because he was at his side. Flair holds up the Four Horsemen sign and says that was the symbol, this was the symbol of excellence.
As he is speaking, out comes Lex Luger to the ring. Flair holds the second rope for him and in comes Luger. Flair says one thing Arn always said was Hulk Hogan drove him crazy and now for Hogan to look who is here. Flair hypes Luger up and he tells Hogan that tonight, the package takes control.
Luger says some things never change and Flair is too much. Luger leaves the ring as Flair says that tonight, Hogan will go down against Luger and Flair leaves the ring.
Roy’s thoughts: Very few things in wrestling, promo wise, can top Ric Flair. With that said, I know they had to hype up the main event between Lex Luger and Hulk Hogan but Luger coming out just to say that Flair is too much and to leave, that made no sense.
We cut to the announce team and Bischoff hypes up WCW Fall Brawl: War Games live from the Asheville Civic Center.
Out comes VK Wall Street in a suit for the match. Sting’s music hits as pyro goes off. Green and black face paint with the United States title around his waist. Winner: Still United States Heavyweight Champion, Sting
Roy’s thoughts: As someone who’s favorite WCW wrestler of all time is Sting, watching a Sting match is always a good thing. But WallStreet was not good in this. No chemistry with Sting while Sting was very fluid in this one.

Winner: “Macho Man” Randy Savage
All five members of Dungeon of Doom get in the ring as Savage runs to the back. Norton argues with Avalanche in the ring as Dungeon of Doom head to the back.
Roy’s thoughts: For some reason, I wasn’t into this match. It could be because I was never a big Scott Norton fan but like any wrestling fan, “Macho Man” was so much fun. Having Avalanche falling on Norton’s legs while Savage went for the elbow drop and pin was probably my favorite part.
WCW World Heavyweight Championship match – Hulk Hogan (c) with Jimmy Hart vs. Lex Luger

Okerlund is in the ring and he says that for the second consecutive week on Nitro, they have to sort things out. He tells Hogan that he is short a man for War Games as Vader is not qualified. Hogan says War Games is one week away, Vader went AWOL and it’s three against four. Luger gets in his face, gives him a run for his money and he asks Luger why Dungeon of Doom did not hit Luger and only himself.
Sting breaks it up. He says to look at this, Vader is out of the picture and Luger gave Hogan a run for his money. For him, this is the team and Savage says it’s not. He would rather go three against four. He would rather know that no one is on their side rather than getting stabbed in the back by Luger. Sting tells Savage that they have nothing against each other, they both want to win War Games and he votes Luger into the team. Savage says he respects that and he asks Sting how come the Dungeon of Doom attacked Hogan and Savage but did not touch Sting or Jimmy Hart.
In comes Jimmy Hart who says he is red and yellow, he is the one that went to the back to get Savage and Sting to help. Hogan asks Sting if Luger should take Vader’s spot at War Games. Hart tells Hogan this is America, innocent until proven guilty. He says Hogan has the final vote and Savage votes no. Hogan says when you put them all in a cage, we will find out what he is made out of, he asks Luger if he wants in the team to find out what he is made of at War Games.
Luger says he will stand in and stand with them, side by side. But one condition, he wants that title shot down the line. Hogan and Luger argue as we cut to the announce team.
Heenan says something smells and Mongo says that they have more problems than the Dungeon of Doom as Nitro goes off the air.
Roy’s thoughts: A very intriguing ending to the show. Luger joining Hogan’s team for War Games is a great way to end it. No one knows if Luger will turn on them or not!
