NXT talent Jazmyn Nyx took to Instagram, confirming reports that she is indeed departing WWE after her current contract expires.
Nyx said that she is not re-signing with WWE because the contract they offered her for the next three years, wasn’t going to cut if for her financially.
“As you know, there have been things circulating and I want to just set the record straight. I’m not re-signing with WWE. This was a personal decision I had to make for myself and my future. Personally, the contract that they were offering me for the next three years wasn’t going to cut it for me financially, and that’s okay.”
Nyx also said that there were a lot of opportunities she had to turn down and pass up while under contract with WWE and now she can explore those opportunities and take them more seriously, not being under contract with WWE. She also added that she will not be making an Only Fans account.
“There’s been a lot of opportunities that I’ve had to turn down and pass up, but now that I am out of the job, I can kind of explore these opportunities more and take them more seriously. Love my Jazmyn Nyx fans. Thank you guys so much for supporting me and having my back for the past three years. It’s been an amazing journey and I will miss you guys.
And no guys I will not be making an OF”
Once her deal is up, she will be free to sign with any other promotion of her choosing.
WWE did a backstage angle on Tuesday night’s NXT, where Nyx was shown to have been beaten and left lying unconscious. Jacy Jayne, looking over her said it’s time to drop Nyx from Fatal Influence, as “only the strong survive.”
The segment can be seen in the NXT Highlights video below, starting at the 7:29 minute mark.
Nyx’s final match with WWE was on last Tuesday’s NXT Homecoming special, where she teamed with Jayne and Fallon Henley, losing to Rhea Ripley, Lyra Valkyria, and Stephanie Vaquer.
Nyx (real name Jade Gentile), first signed with WWE back in November of 2022.
