Roman Reigns appeared on the most recent edition of The Pat McAfee Show, with the conversation largely centered around finding a balance between WWE and his work on set of the upcoming Street Fighter film.
The former WWE Champion noted the biggest challenge was preparing himself for a very different process than he was used to, adding:
I’m so used to my WWE bubble and that process. Being live, jetting in and jetting out, having the bus and my own creative space. I had to rewire myself to be ready for a different process. It was fun and a good time. There was one moment in time where I was like, ‘This is what being a movie star feels like.’ Being in that little bubble was cool. It’s interesting because everything I’ve learned in WWE and all these skills I’ve acquired and sharpened, they all translate.
Roman also talked at length about Jey Uso’s rise in WWE, stating that he had seen a “beautiful opportunity” with Jey a long time ago:
We’re just now seeing that pot of gold at the end of the rainbow with him. There is so much more left to do with him. There are so many more accolades and opportunities for him to capitalize on. He got there, that’s one of the hard parts, but the hardest part is staying there and staying relevant. To stay at the tip top of the mountain and breathe at that altitude. To do it like I did.
I wish he would listen to me a lot better. I wish his brother would shut up and listen to me as well. It would make life a lot easier. At the end of the day, I have proof of concept. I’m the one who has mapped this thing out. I’m the only one who understands who to navigate these waters and I wish they would listen to me.
The statement comes after a message he gave Jey and Jimmy Uso upon reuniting with the pair in recent weeks.
The OTC is set to face Bronson Reed in an Australian Street Fight at WWE Crown Jewel, emanating from the RAC Arena in Perth, Western Australia, Australia on Saturday, October 11.
