Former WWE US Champion could be out of action “well into 2026”

According to a new report from Fightful, former WWE United States Champion Jacob Fatu is dealing with a non-wrestling related injury that could keep him out of in-ring action “well into 2026”. The news was first reported by Bodyslam.net and then also posted by F4WOnline.

The nature of Fatu’s injury was not disclosed in any of the reports.

Fatu last wrestled in a dark match street fight against Rusev back on September 12. He was scheduled to have a match against Drew McIntyre on this Friday’s episode of SmackDown. The match was a result of the verbal confrontation the two had back on the September 26 episode of SmackDown and then a brawl the two had backstage during last Friday’s show, which took place from Perth, Australia.
