Per a report from Fightful Select, Andrade is having issues with bookings of indie events, due to his WWE contract surrounding the confusion with his non-compete and now legal situation after his firing from the company.
One of the bookings that Andrade scheduled for a WWC event in Puerto Rico. Fightful confirmed that Andrade was in fact at the Puerto Rico at the show, but did not work his scheduled match for the promotion’s Universal Title. It was also said that Andrade did whatever he could to make good for the booking.
It was reported last Thursday, that under TKO if you are fired for disciplinary reasons or let go for a contract breach, the non-compete is one-year without pay.
Andrade made his surprise return to AEW, back on the 6th Anniversary episode of Dynamite, after being released by WWE in September, attacking Kenny Omega. Andrade then quietly disappeared from AEW TV. He was fired back in August by WWE for a wellness violation and disciplinary issues. It has been previously reported that AEW and some in WWE believed he was not under any type of non-compete.
