New champions crowned at WWE Saturday Night’s Main Event

On a night full of title matches, the November 1 edition of Saturday Night’s Main Event saw the crowning of two new champions as recapped by Mike Tedesco during his live coverage of the show.

Early on in the show, Jade Cargill brought about the first title change when she defeated Tiffany Stratton to win the WWE Women’s Championship in dominating fashion.

In the main event, Jey Uso and CM Punk battled it out for the World Heavyweight Championship, vacated by Seth Rollins after it was announced he was out due to injury.

Despite a valiant effort by the man who calls himself “Main Event,” Uso found himself the recipient of a double dose of GTS that saw Punk pick up his second reign with the title.

The new champions bring a change to the landscape of their respective brands heading into Raw on November 3 and SmackDown on November 7.
