WWE reportedly terminates Ridge Holland’s contract early following comments made on social media

According to a report from Fightful Select, WWE has terminated Ridge Holland’s contract early after to comments he made on social media, considering what he said as a “breach.”

Holland suffered a lisfranc injury during his match against Moose at a TNA TV taping this past September. Fightful Select did not provide a date of when the termination would be official, as Holland’s deal was set to expire on November 14. However, it is expected that WWE will still pay for any related medical expenses during his recovery period. Holland is expected to be out for up to seven months. He also said that he might need to undergo neck surgery as well.

The comment that got Holland in hot water with WWE, was made in an X post on Tuesday, in which he said that he felt “hung out to dry” by WWE and never thought he would not be able make his mortgage payments.

Holland said the following in his X post on Tuesday:

“I feel like I’ve just been hung out to dry after getting injured working for another company on behalf of WWE. Add to that my contract not being renewed knowing that I wouldn’t be able to wrestle for 7 months. This is brutal. Yes they are taking care of the surgery and physical therapy but let’s be honest, that’s the bare minimum after what we sacrifice for the company. Plus the possibility of having to get my neck fused too. Talk about getting totally f—–.”

The 37-year old Holland (real name Luke Menzies) is married and has three children.
