Deadline has reported that the Peacock Original series Twisted Metal has been renewed for a third season, which sees David Reed taking over as showrunner and executive producer following the exit of Michael Jonathan Smith.
The series, based on the video game franchise of the same name, features Anthony Mackie, Stephanie Beatriz, and former AEW World Champion Samoa Joe among its cast.
Joe recently made his AEW return after taking time off to film for the show’s second season, touted by Peacock as a success registering 993 million minutes viewed to become their “second highest-reaching original returning scripted season.”
