During a recent interview with Deportes, Andrade provided an update on his contract status with WWE and AEW.
Andrade said he has lawyers working with WWE on an agreement to get out of his one-year non-compete clause with WWE. He also said that WWE only activated the clause after he appeared on AEW TV. Before that, Andrade said that he believed he was completely free and clear from his contract under WWE. Andrade added he doesn’t know the exact time frame of when an agreement between the two sides will be reached.
“My lawyers are already talking with WWE’s lawyers, and they’re reaching an agreement. I don’t know the exact date.”
Andrade also addressed the wellness policy violation that was the ultimate cause of his termination from WWE.
“I got a warning because there are many medicines or supplements in Mexico that you can use, but over there you can’t.”
Andrade made his surprise appearance on the 6th Anniversary episode of AEW Dynamite back on October 1, 2025. He attacked Kenny Omega, aligned with Don Callis and then has been off AEW programming ever since. Andrade was released by WWE back in September.
