During an appearance on The Joe Rogan Experience, John Cena was asked if Vince McMahon is still involved with WWE following his resignation in January 2024.
The 17-time world champion stated plainly that McMahon, who left the company after a lawsuit was filed against him, was “out,” prompting Rogan to state he sees the former executive chair as someone who might be out of WWE at the moment but will eventually return.
Cena responded:
Nah — well, I don’t know. All that stuff is so far above me. But I know, now, he’s out. In my eyes, I’d like to think that, like, time heals everything. And I believe in forgiveness.
I also believe in looking at the body of work, but I also know there’s a lot of fragile stuff going on there. I don’t know, man. I don’t know.
The ongoing lawsuit, filed by former WWE employee Janel Grant, accuses McMahon of physical and emotional abuse, sexual assault, and sex trafficking.
The speculation on McMahon’s presence within the company comes as Cena is set to compete in his final WWE match at Saturday Night’s Main Event from the Capital One Arena in Washington, D.C.
