WCW Nitro kicks off with the legendary WCW Nitro video.
We cut to the announce team who go through the card for the night. As they are talking, we see Madusa. She says she is Madusa, always has been Madusa and always will be Madusa.
She holds up the WWF Women’s Championship and she throws it in the trash can. Madusa says that is what she thinks of the WWF belt and she is in WCW. She says they used to call her Alundra Blayze but not anymore because this is where the big boys play and now, this is where the big girls play. She drops the microphone and leaves as the announce team are surprised about it all.
Eric Bischoff takes the title belt out of the trash and puts it back down. McMichael calls out William Perry of the Chicago Bears and McMichael says that he will make sure no one else comes to the announce table.
Ric Flair’s music hits and out he comes for the first match of the night.
Roy’s thoughts: Probably the most crazy start to a show you could have. Madusa throwing the WWF Women’s title in the garbage can was something that made a lot of noise. Watching this live in 1995 must have been insane.

Badd and last week it was Paul Orndorff. He says he respects Orndorff but for every action, there is an opposite and equal reaction. He says you don’t put personal achievement over the group and if you jump on one of them, you jump on all of them.
Out come Kevin Sullivan and Jimmy Hart. Sullivan says he has respected them both for a long time. He tells them that they have a loose cannon on their ship. He says when Pillman knocks someone of the Dungeon of Doom, he is knocking their entire team. He tells Arn to keep him on a leash. Flair tells Sullivan that they are all brothers. Arn says there is a problem. He tells Sullivan if they come looking for Pillman, they might just find Flair and Anderson.
Sullivan tells them they better keep Pillman on a short leash.
We cut to the announce team who recap the show. In comes the Pitbull, he says Heenan was one of the best managers of all time and he would like him to manage the Pitbull to the World title. Heenan says he doesn’t manage anyone but he will put him on a someone who can handle him situation. Heenan says it would be an honor to manage him but he will try and help him. The Pitbull says if he doesn’t get help soon, he will not take any prisoners.
Roy’s thoughts: Ric Flair is always fun but at this point, they aren’t doing much with the Dungeon of Doom and having Sullivan talk about Pillman was interesting as we could have a Dungeon of Doom against a Four Horsemen match.

Luger says he is restless with anticipation as he goes through each opponent. He says he has had Macho Man in the Rack, he had him submit and he had him pinned. If it wasn’t for Hulk Hogan, he would be Champion.
Roy’s thoughts: Not much in this match. This was about Luger getting a win before Starrcade.

Roy’s thoughts: A big title match. They really made The Giant look good here and having Savage being the workhorse Champion worked here. Having Hulk Hogan hit people with a chair wasn’t a common thing back in 1995 and it was surprising to see.

McMichael says he is just trying to save Hogan from himself. Heenan says Hogan is a grown man, to let him make his mistakes. Bischoff says that next week, Savage will defend the World title against Ric Flair as Nitro goes off the air.
Roy’s thoughts: A fun promo to end the show. Savage has a match against Ric Flair and after that Starrcade too. Hogan is always going to be in the title picture, not surprising.
