WWE celebrity wrestler and country music star Jelly Roll (real name Jason Deford), was one of 33 people to receive pardons from Tennessee Governor Bill Lee.
Jelly Roll has been very outspoken about his redemption following have done time in prison. He has shared his story at correctional facilities, concerts and even Congress.
Jelly Roll’s convictions include robbery and drug felonies. He has said that a pardon would make it easier for him to travel internationally for concert tours and for Christian missionary work without having to jump through hoops of filling out overly burdensome paperwork.
Jelly Roll had his first professional wrestling match this past August at WWE SummerSlam. He teamed with Randy Orton against Drew McIntyre and Logan Paul. Jelly Roll took the pin. Several within WWE praised how seriously he took his time in the company, all the way from his work ethic to training for the match.
Jelly Roll has received three nominations for the 68th Annual Grammy Awards, which take place on February 1, 2026 at the Crypto.com Arena in Los Angeles, California, broadcasting live on CBS and streaming live on Paramount+.
