The Usos (Jimmy and Jey) are the new WWE World Tag Team Champions.
The final Raw of the year, saw The Usos defeat AJ Styles and Dragon Lee in the main event of Monday’s episode to win the championships. Lee and Styles held the title for 71 days.
Below is an excerpt from Mike Tedesco’s WWE Raw recap of how the title change went down.
Styles rolls Jey up for a two-count. Jey superkicks Styles, but Styles responds with a Pele Kick. Styles connects with a Styles Clash! 1… 2… Jey kicks out! Styles cannot believe it! The crowd chants, “This is awesome!” Styles tags Lee back in. Styles hits Jey with a front suplex onto the top rope, and Lee catches him with a double stomp, knocking him into Styles’ arms. Jimmy turns Lee inside out with a superkick. Styles knocks Jimmy back and goes for a Phenomenal Forearm, but the Usos hit him with stereo superkicks out of mid-air! The Usos hit Lee with stereo superkicks, followed by the 1D! 1… 2… 3! The Usos are nine-time Tag Team Champions!
