Plans regarding the El Grande Americano character are not likely to change despite the man behind his initial portrayal being set on a return to WWE, according to a new report from WrestleVotes.
Chad Gable took on the character in March 2025, competing on and off until he was sidelined with injury in June.
Despite being one of many names penciled in to appear at the Royal Rumble, the report notes that “there is no immediate plan for Ludwig Kaiser to move away from the El Grande Americano gimmick, once Chad Gable returns from injury.”
WWE Royal Rumble emanates from Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, marking the first time the event has been held outside North America.
