According to Fightful Select, Matt Taven, Mercedes Martinez and Alex Abrahantes have departed AEW. As of January 5, all three no longer appear on AEW’s roster page.
Taven is a former ROH World Champion and ROH Tag Team Champion. As of now, his Kingdom tag team partner Mike Bennett is still listed on the active roster page.
The 45-year old Martinez recently noted on social media that 2026 would be her last run with no contracts, no agents and no creative and instead giving back by working with the younger talent on the independents.
Abrahantes was a part of the Spanish-language broadcast team and an on-screen manager for The Lucha Bros and and Komander.
