According to Fightful Select, the reason the AEW International Championship was covered up on Collision is that sources told the publication, Kazuchika Okada’s travel bag, which contained both the title belt and his ring gear was said to have been lost.
Rocky Romero on commentary said that Priest was not on the same level as Okada and did not deserve to see the title he was challenging for. Okada defeated Priest to retain.
Also per Fightful Select, sources told the publication Tommaso Ciampa’s contract with AEW was finalized on Monday. It was added Ciampa was hidden backstage at the H-E-B Center to make sure his surprise debut didn’t leak out ahead of the show. Ciampa defeated Mark Briscoe for the TNT Championship on Saturday’s live episode of Collision, which took place from Esports Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
