According to a report from Fightful Select, the distributor of the WrestleMania 42 broadcasts has informed a number of venues in Las Vegas they will not be able to air the huge two-day event, even if they pay the licensing fee.
Fightful Select also notes the reason was explained as a new protocol for areas within 50 miles of Allegiant Stadium. It was added this is viewed as a way that would increase ticket sales. WWE did not respond to Fightful when reached for comment.
The report further notes a source told Fightful Select, that while some of the more smaller establishments might attempt to bypass this new rule, it could though, see an effect on their UFC business, which is major in Las Vegas.
