During the 2/9 edition of WWE Raw, Michael Cole said Breakker was “injured during training,” the reason being unclear as it was noted that he would be out of action indefinitely.
The news comes after it was reported that Breakker recently underwent hernia surgery, something that could have been serious if left untreated.
Despite the injury, reported by PWInsider as an ongoing issue, sources within WWE were optimistic that he would be able to return by WrestleMania per Fightful.
It was determined that he would need surgery for the injury following an angle on last week’s Raw that saw the former Intercontinental Champion destroy the announcer’s table, upset over his elimination from the Royal Rumble, before Adam Pearce had Breakker escorted out of the building.
The nature of the injury was later confirmed via Paul Heyman, as the advocate for The Vision spoke to Adam Pearce in a segment addressing the issues he and his group have with the Raw General Manager.
