News coming out of 3/4 AEW Dynamite: Former NJPW star debuts, Quick loss for The IInspiration, Titles change hands

News coming out of Wednesday’s (3/4) episode of AEW Dynamite, saw the debut of a former NJPW star, the IInspiration lose quick in their TV debut and titles change hands.

Former NJPW star David Finlay made his debut, attacking Orange Cassidy and Darby Allin and aligning with Gabe Kidd and Clark Connors. The three were known as Bullet Club War Dogs in NJPW. Finlay is the son of WWE Performance Center Trainer and Coach Fit Finlay.

According to a report from Fightful Select, the deal between AEW and the 32-year old Finlay came together last week. Finlay’s contract with NJPW expired last month, thus ending his 11-year run with the promotion.

After Finlay’s debut, AEW head Tony Khan confirmed Finlay, Kidd and Connors, which will be known as The Dogs are officially All Elite.

The IInspiration (Cassie Lee and Jessica McKay), lost in just under 90 seconds for their AEW television debut, in a match against the Brawling Birds (Jamie Hayter and Alex Windsor).

Don Callis Family members Kyle Fletcher, Kazuchika Okada and Mark Davis are the new AEW World Trios Champions, having defeated the team of Hangman Adam Page, Kevin Knight and Mike Bailey, who have been going by Jet Set Rodeo.

The finish saw MJF take out Hangman Page on the apron, as Bailey was already down on the floor. Okada then hit Knight with the Rainmaker and then Davis dropped Knight with a piledriver to get the win. This was Knight’s second match of the night, as he had already taken a loss to MJF in an unsuccessful attempt to capture the AEW World Championship.

Fletcher and Okada are double champions, as Fletcher currently holds the TNT Title, while Okada is the holder of the AEW International Championship.
