According to a report from Fightful Select, the reaction to Danhausen backstage at WWE events has been positive.
The report states, “Those who Fightful Select spoke to in WWE were happy with the quick turnaround of Danhausen. “Most in the company knew that the debut was a flop, but said that the situation didn’t rattle him, and he responded well.”
Danhausen made his WWE debut at Elimination Chamber PLE, held at the United Center in Chicago, back on February 28. He was revealed as the mystery person in the crate which was sent back and forth between Raw and SmackDown.
The fans in the venue appeared not to know exactly who Danhausen was and his reaction was that of boos instead of cheers.
Danhausen has appeared in backstage segments on both Raw and SmackDown, since his debut, putting on his ‘signature curses’ on others. He cursed Dominick Mysterio who went on to lose the Intercontinental Championship in his match against Penta two weeks ago on Raw. Danhausen cursed El Grande Americano on this past Monday’s Raw, thus Americano was not able to compete in his scheduled match. Danhausen cursed The Miz on the March 13 episode of SmackDown, thus resulting in Jelly Roll accidently knocking out The Miz while as guest on Miz TV.
Prior to his WWE debut, Danhausen had spent time in ROH and then AEW. In August 2025, Danhausen requested his release from AEW, but it was denied and the company extended his contract into early 2026 to cover the time he missed due to a torn pectoral muscle that happened in 2023.
