Report on WWE’s reaction to Ronda Rousey’s AEW debut at Revolution

According to report from Bryan Alvarez of F4WOnline, only a few people in WWE knew about Ronda Rousey’s surprise appearance at Sunday’s AEW Revolution.

Alvarez also notes most within WWE were “shocked” to see Rousey show up at the pay-per-view. Rousey left WWE back in 2023, just after SummerSlam.

Rousey appeared in the ring, following “Timeless” Toni Storm’s victory over Marina Shafir. Both women confronted each other in the ring, after Rousey called Storm to face her. This led to a pull apart brawl. Shafir then knocked out Storm, as Rousey and Shafir left through the crowd together to heavy boos.

Rousey is scheduled to make her return to MMA this May in a fight against Gina Carano that will air live on Netflix.

She previously wrestled for ROH, teaming with Shafir against Billie Starkz and Athena back on November 23, 2023 for a television taping at the Kia Forum. This would mark Rousey’s first official appearance on AEW programming.
