There seems to be conflicting reports on WWE’s reaction to Ronda Rousey’s AEW debut at the Revolution pay-per-view last Sunday.
Previously, F4WOnline reported that people within WWE were said to have been shocked to see Rousey debut in AEW. However, a report from Fightful Select on Saturday notes that its sources have stated that Rousey received the desired reaction as heel when she made her debut. It was added that Rousey was expecting a different reaction.
Fightful’s sources in TKO and WWE claimed to the publication that the expectation is Rousey to “do anything she can to go against WWE, UFC, and TKO at this point.” Furthermore, TKO and WWE also do not see her wanting to return to the company anytime in the future.
At the time of Fightful Select’s report, nothing has been heard about follow-up creative plans for Rousey yet. It was also said that Rousey lives in the Los Angeles area, which made for an “easy trip” to the venue for the pay-per-view.
Rousey is also scheduled for an MMA comeback fight against Gina Carano ion May 16, 2026, under Most Valuable Promotions or also known as MVP. The fight will air live on Netflix.
