In an exclusive interview with GamesHub, Chris Jericho addressed a number of topics including his impending retirement and the culture of modern wrestling.
Speaking during a UK tour for his band Fozzy, the former AEW World Champion acknowledged that he is in the closing chapter of his pro wrestling career, but notes the timeline is unclear for him:
Here I am at 55, 35 years in, with still some career left to go. Is it a year, is it two years, is it four years? I don’t know. I’m not sure.
Jericho further remarked he was worried about whether wrestlers will have the option to go as long as he has, stating “a bad neck surgery changes everything.”
Jericho last competed at AEW Dynasty in April 2025, losing the ROH World Championship to Bandido in a Title Vs. Mask match.
Elsewhere in the interview, Jericho talked about his move to AEW causing WWE to “raise everybody’s pay,” expressed concern over modern wrestling overemphasizing match quality, and more.
