During an autograph signing on Sunday in Nashville, Tennessee, WWE Hall of Famer Bill Goldberg spoke briefly with TikToker Pop the Chain. During the conversation, the subject came up of WWE abruptly cutting off Goldberg’s retirement speech, following his loss to Gunther.
Goldberg said the speech being cut-off shows the lack of respect WWE has for him and agreed with Pop the Chain that Paul “Triple H” Levesque is a ‘jack—” for allowing it to happen.
Pop the Chain: “You know what really pissed me off? Was when WWE cut off your mic at your final performance.”
Goldberg: “Well, what do you think it did for me? It made me really happy [sarcastic]. It just shows what disrespect they have for me.”
Pop the Chain: “What jack—. Was it Hunter? Who did that?”
Goldberg: “Probably.”
Pop the Chain: “Yeah, he’s a jack—, man.”
Goldberg: “One Hundred Percent”

Goldberg’s retirement match took place on the July 12, 2025 episode of Saturday Night’s Main Event at the State Farm Arena in Atlanta, Georgia. WWE did upload Goldberg’s full speech to YouTube shortly after the live feed ended.
Last month, Goldberg was named as the CEO and partner of Patriot Tactical, which is a performance-driven tactical lifestyle brand specializing in knives, EDC tools, protective equipment, and preparedness-focused products.
