Report: WWE qualified for up to $4.3 million in tax credits for WrestleMania 42

According to a new report on Thursday from POST Wrestling, WWE received approval for as much as $4,314,821 in tax credits for WrestleMania 42 and related events around Las Vegas, according to records made public by the Nevada agency that approves such applications.

POST Wrestling also notes the credit is slightly more than the $4,240,456 that was approved for last year’s WrestleMania-related events, as part of the same program in Nevada intended to draw film and entertainment business to the state.

WWE’s application which was submitted to the Nevada Governor’s Office of Economic Development states WrestleMania 42 at Allegiant Stadium and Raw and SmackDown at T-Mobile Arena were budgeted at $35,577,015. Last year’s budget was lower: $33,693,464.

POST Wrestling further notes WWE’s application claims that WrestleMania weekend delivers more than $200 million in annual economic impact to host cities. The amount is said to be directly from WWE spending mainly on the arena, per diem and hotels for freelancers, talent and production staff, as well as visitors spending on food and other entertainment in the city.

WrestleMania 42 is April 18 and 19 at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada, just outside of Las Vegas.
