Lilian Garcia has officially tied the knot with partner Patrick Ellrich in an intimate wedding ceremony ahead of WrestleMania 42.
Per The Takedown on SI, the pair met through the world of pro wrestling, making the timing of their moment all the more meaningful.
Garcia, who returned to WWE in 2024 after five years away, talked about the stress of preparing for the big day leading to a plan of keeping things simple:
Trish Stratus was ready to fly in. Candice Michelle, like yeah, there were some people that were ready to fly in. But as we were preparing, it started getting very overwhelming. So, the joy started depleting and the stress of it started piling on.
I went into my prayer closet, which has been so vital for me in receiving Christ. I went in there and I’m talking to God, and I’m just literally, like, ‘God, I know this is supposed to be about the unity of us and you being there to unite us. Why is this becoming so overwhelming and so stressful?’ And all I kept hearing was, make it simple. Make it simple.
The pair would end up celebrating their union in a ceremony overlooking a bridge, followed by an intimate barbecue held by their friends.
This kicked off a big week for the couple, as Garcia confirmed that she will be attending various events ahead of WrestleMania 42 in Las Vegas on April 18 and April 19.
On the way wrestling has been a large part of their life together, Ellrich said:
It feels very natural. Kind of like everything else in this relationship. Just natural and everything just feels right. It’s a lot of fun just getting to get to share a business that we love so deeply, and share that together. It’s a part of our relationship.
